Safety
The FarmDroid combines monitored operation with physical emergency controls for confidence in the field.
In terms of safety, standards are very high for the FarmDroid and it complies with all of the applicable EU legislation, as well as being CE certified.
A safety wire is located around the sides and front of the robot and an emergency stop is triggered if any pressure is put against this wire. Once the robot stops, buttons have to be manually released before the robot can continue.
An additional emergency stop switch can be found on the back of the FarmDroid FD20 which provides the necessary safety when manually controlling the field robot. These safety features, together with the low travel speed of fewer than 1000 meters per hour, make the FarmDroid FD20 a very safe machine to operate.
